In a recent podcast that interviewed Brandon Turner that I heard, if you listen in between the lines, you’ll discover even he is having enormous challenges with his apartment building in Cincinnati.It’s likely why he’s more excited about his mobile home parks and syndication deals now.It’s a common theme through the Midwest,I think.Don’t just talk to brokers and local stake holders with vested interests...Speak to investors who have actually risked capital.They’ll tell you the cold hard truth about investing in the snow belt.

Growing up in Los Angeles County I witnessed the same reoccuring theme.

We currently shoot weddings and will continue some of that out there as well.

I can find good deals but I just don't have the funds to ciose theme.

For today, I would like to return to the Serenity Prayer and discuss how new investors who are beginning their careers in real estate can use data and themes to make decisions.

Consider the following;(1) Go to county records & verify the lien issue of the property (it'd be great if you get the parcel # off the owner, and if can't the address should suffice)(2) Talk to city inspector & request records for the last 3 years, if available, verify amounts wed, if any.  

However outside of the med students doctors and lawyers there is a lack of good blue collar jobs, corruption is rampant, miles and miles of poverty.
