If you wouldn't want to live there, no traveler is going to want to live there, either.

You're also going to want to get external cameras and a wifi lock for access to the property.  

- Maybe consider Mid-term rentals in an area with hospitals or businesses with traveling corporate people - you'll need to furnish it, pay for utilities and WiFi but this is what some Bay Area investors I know that are doing and AirBnb to cash flow

This is my first multi-unit purchase, with larger purchase number with high interest rate in the neighborhood i never had rental property, which all add together that gives me anxiety, even though i used to work in the area for 14 years....so i cant say i am not familiar with the neighborhood, just never owned any propertydefinitely never felt good at closing, and chest pain is real, i dont recall when was the last time i was happy at closing, it's always "why i did it again", then i remembered because i need to make more income.summer being great time to get new tenant, but also worst financial time for me with kid summer camp, summer vacation travel...etc 

I want to be a more engaged parent, travel more, and retire sooner.

Considering buying a single-family unit for mid-term rental to traveling nurses, etc.

I usually travel to the property (from out of state for a cosmetic rehab) so  want to make the best use of time.

Also if you have a business for just buying/selling land only and spend money/milage traveling to properties BUT don't make any revenue from the business the first year can you write off those expenses?

I'm looking for one that offers great travel perks, lacks annual fees and foreign transaction fees, and has a physical location.
