We always recommend investors pick an area with little STR regulations that draws them and is more of a natural element people want to explore and see. 

If I could choose between earning $5,000/month from 10 doors, or from 5 doors, I would pick 5 doors all day long!

Let’s talk about what people want in their STR that allow them to then pick the location of their property.There are several defining characteristics that truly make an STR great.

Pick a type of property you can afford and think about making money through rent, the property's value going up, or both.

I've only been in the space for 17 months, held 7 events, and people who have come to my events have picked up thousands of units on their own (Kelly Stumphauzer 160+ units, Dan Mitchen 100+ units, David Marsh 400+ units, Randy Lawrence 300+ units, Jack Petrick 500+ units, Phil Klima 100+ units, Steve Morris 300+ units, Jorge Abreu 250+ units, and on & on). 

So even if you pick a state with stronger protections like WY or NV, the cause of action arose in the state where the tenant fell, so likely that the court where the accident happened would have jurisdiction.

Pick a market drill deep into that market, learn the market and success will follow.

About to close on a multifamily property and ill have to start picking out material soon.

The RGV itself has several great investments and worth investing here for multi family.I recently sold a 18 unit a month ago and my same investor is purchasing another 36 unit from me and after funding he'll be picking up another 38 from us, this gives you an idea of opportunity in the area. 

The squatter never installed nor picked up the material so I was under the impression that nothing was being done after I wired him money because nothing has been installed.
