He gives realistic no fluff advice for those starting out and of course that's a huge part of BP audience not the guru's or the guys at are at the top already or say they are.. but real advice on how to work in a local market and do the things it takes to get there and how long it generally will take a person if they are dedicated extremely focused on the goal as Steve and his family were.

I would like to do some research on other rental properties before I set my priceComputer algorithms are good for studying a general market, maybe even a neighborhood, but they are terrible for evaluating a specific rental.

Then I'd start by saving up, so you can buy your own house and rent out rooms in the house (or buy a place with a suite).Talk to your parents about what their goals are with the properties, what they like and what they don't like.
