I have been trying to find as many resources as I can, to get a better grasp upon how real estate actually works.

At the time I had no idea what he was talking about and over the next couple of years I would listen to a podcast here and there without grasping the concept.

I know bigger pockets is a great resource but what are some other resources that could really help be get a grasp of whats going on ha. 

I’m currently looking through the forums , trying to get a good grasp of how things work here.

Then when you feel like you have a grasp on these difficult senarios you can self manage at that point if you would like. 

I have a couple years of experience working with investors, and I can tell you that more often than not, first time investors do not have a realistic grasp of the market they are looking to buy in. 

It'd help if you don't grasp them all.
