I'm reaching out to people who are dealing with a very specific, anxiety-inducing problem, and I'm addressing this exact issue in my direct mail piece (pointing out the problem, highlighting the consequences of their inaction, and offering them a solution that is simple and easy for them to accept).It helps to know exactly who you're targeting (whatever their issue is), because it allows you to put yourself in their shoes and tailor your mail piece to communicate directly to those issues (rather than writing a generic message that doesn't really speak to their actual problem).

The beaches is GREAT to live and invest if you have a lot more capital, but you do have disruptions in the form of storms, not often, but they create a lot of anxiety when you are told to Mandatory Evacuate.

Anxiety, that's normal, but full-out hesitation... maybe try something less risky and/or complicated to start?

I know it will be fine, it might just be the anticipation of waiting for the process of appraisals and closing, moving and then doing repairs to put my old house in the market for renting it that creates the anxiety.

Add on top that they lost one of their children, I'm sure this has 10x'd their anxieties. 

It is becoming clear to me that the risks I am afraid of have more to do with social anxiety, and less to do with the thought of losing money by getting burned on a deal.

Now I pretty much got the green light for pre-approval to buy my first small Multifamily and the anxiety is kicking big time.

And, frankly, I wonder if some of these folks who get a bunch of property seemingly overnight don't have paranoia, fear, anxiety, and live with the very real possibility of bankruptcy if things outside of their control happen in the market or a couple of pieces of bad luck strike.
