Why do you need to pay for a skip tracing service to access property phone numbers?

Hi all, I spoke with an investor via phone that I met through Reddit.

If you've been unable to do so using their phone or email, which you also acquired in their application, you'll have the option of reaching out to one of their contacts to let them know that you need to settle the balance for the tenants' security deposit, and request a current address - or ask the contact person to have the tenant contact you.

I would say it’s probably about 25-30 leads per purchase. ( sometimes much better )Most of the leads we eliminate on the first phone call, whereas most sellers are not remotely realistic in their expectations.
