I would really like to retire from patient care practicing within 5 years and just do real estate investing as my new second career to  build wealth (still owe student loans but I'm investing versus paying them) and live comfortably in retirement. 

I was hoping to connect with some other investors that have rentals in that area or are familiar with student rentals.

Looking at a 2 family student rental in upstate NY. 6 tenants.

I would just like to write a quick introduction about myself: I am 31, single, no family, I work in Underwriting, a former and still licensed Flight Instructor, and a current law student.

Is there a market for student room rentals?

 I am currently a college student looking to get into real estate investing, with no money down. 

Could even be a 3rd or 4th year Finance/Accounting major college student doing it part time.  

No he didn't put me up to this, I am a student of the REI game and especially Mobile home park investing and I seek to connect with people who know the game. that's how one educates, networks and grows and at the end of the day isn't that what were all here for. . . . . . . . . . . .

@Mike Cumbie in my area college students....Seriously though I use quiet to describe a rental that we have that isnt in town.

We have plenty of poor rating schools here where the students can not even write proper English.
