In both cases, I started typing @ and the name, in both cases the dropdown showed the name, I clicked it, the name populated in the typing and was highlighted as normal.

Ryan, To get a colleague to see your reply, you have to type the @ followed by the 1st four letters of the First or Last name and then look below this window.Click on the Highlighted Name, and that person will receive an email, to let them know, that they were mentioned in a Post.
