This fall and winter, they will be treated to a refurnished master bedroom with giant flat screen TV and a new 65" UHD TV in the living room.  

During the crash, it was so frustrating to watch people let their current home go back to the bank, while they moved all of their cars, boats, motorcycles, and giant TV's to a new cheaper home.

I think the short answer is that it came from an organic process.Norm and I have been a ma and pa operation of purchasing and landlording in North Adams, Ma. for 10 years.  

Your suggestion would fall into the organization cost in my above picture (pre business beginning).

When I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and spent months in the hospital (lost the ability to walk and had some organs removed), and wasn't expected to live, I made sure that my brother dropped off a rent check every month to my landlord.

Honestly, if you want to scale and buy other property, it makes a lot of sense to organize things via SPEs. 

If you are really interested in decentralized organizations (like blockchains), there is a book out there I would recommend that is called "The Spider and the Starfish" that discusses the power, adaptability, and resiliency of decentralized organizations in our society.

It's probably better to just keep growing cashflow until it happens organically, eh?
