I've only owned a couple sfh am middle-aged and not sure I agree with flipping sfh at this point to create wealth, time freedom and passive income so I have been reading and there seems to be a lot of talk with multi-families and more specifically apartment investing.

When someone else is on ownership (or deed/title) then they would need to sign a couple of things at closing to give permission for a lien to be applied to the property they own - but that doesn't mean that HAVE to be on the loan.

Now, some of these answers will depend on what state that property is in, how much equity you have, and a couple of other factors...but you can certainly seek out other lenders about a Line of Credit on an investment property.

Would obviously have preferred to use a third party but this accomplishes exactly what I need - a birds eye view of the profitability each month without have to re-enter operational and tenant data into my own system when the property manager is already tracking this information.
