The Cook County Human Rights Ordinance: This ordinance prohibits people in Cook County (including employers, landlords, property managers, real estate agents, store and restaurant owners, bankers, lenders and Cook County government officials and employees) from unlawfully discriminating against or harassing other people on the basis of that person's race, color, sex, age, religion, disability, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military discharge status, source of income (including use of a housing choice voucher), housing status, or gender identity.

After much research, planning, goal setting, and purchasing my first two SFR with the VA Loan while moving around duty locations with the Army, I finally took the first action step of building my multifamily portfolio with the purchase of a Duplex several months back.As I begin to build momentum with my purchases, I want to develop a "template" or rather a material list with (color / type / brand/ price / vendor) that would serve as my go to for items such as paint, types of blinds, carpet, flooring, hardware, ceiling lighting etc..

The downstairs studio is fully renovated, having added a concrete floor base to cover asbestos, flooring over that, new walls, office space, bathroom, dressing room, new ceilings, modern industrial finishes and the outside was also painted.
