Also, I haven’t researched this, but when I started investing, a realtor told me that Canton South has open enrollment, where as Perry Plain North Canton and Jackson require students to live in the district so it keeps both home values and rent a little higher since those are all desirable districts. 

I'm not talking about faking residency for the purposes of enrolling a child in a school, either.

One nice thing is DISD has open enrollment which means if there is space you can pick any school even if you are not in the zone. 

So in theory, a motivated and dedicated student could enroll in a program that has pitiful resources, unreliable teaching and poor practices, but if the student was unsuccessful, it was singularly their fault. 

My first problem is that I have absolutely no idea as how to even enroll in such a program, and would also like to know the do's, the don'ts and the positives and negatives that come from renting through section 8.
