Any other house hackers out there want to commiserate with me?

KurtisKurtis,I'm a house hacker up near Hollywood and an investor throughout LA. 

In our experience, Long Island house-hackers have been able to secure long-term quality tenants attracted to good school districts, and < 90 minute commutes to NYC.

From an outsiders view, I’d expect Columbus, Ohio to be a relatively strong cash flow market.I’d analyze deals for cash flow under two circumstances:1) You live in the property as a house hacker. 2) The unit is fully rented, and you have moved out.In case 2, I’d demand cash flow in Columbus.

I would try to find local meetups and learn from other house hackers and investors in the area.

Finding a house hacker will get harder and harder as numbers decrease. 

And you can sell a quad to a house-hacker but there isn’t any fun house-hacking financing for a commercial multifamily.

The best buys need more work than a new investor or house hacker who wants to live there is comfortable with, but not enough for a flipper or contractor to want to take in and in that scenario, there is risk.

I’m a local agent and have worked with a bunch of house hackers in NY and CT and have done a house hack of my own in Westchester.
