Originally this started as a house hack I have recently moved out and it is now a 2 unit with one half being furnished rental.

This had me thinking if I'm wrong and would like to start a discussion on the subject to see what ever one else does.

If they’re really in a bind, you could even explore something creative, like seller financing or a subject-to deal (where you take over their mortgage payments).

Negotiate alternatives thereafter, but start the clock.
