I had replaced the oil boiler in a 4U with gas immediately after purchase, and when I got a call in February that it was freezing I instantly ran up there at 10 on a friday night, fearing a failure. 

Because of fear, we haven’t invested in real estate yet.

I think generic #s sometimes cause fear and prevent people from take that leap toward success.

Being that the property was a duplex and my history of being an investor, the bank would not give me a low money down loan (5-10% conventional) until i sold my primary residence for the fear of me turning around and renting it out.

My fear is that he plans on leading my apartment and will use it as an Airbnb the whole time and rarely, if ever, occupy he apartment.

I'm just questioning whether my fears are reasonable. 

I'm trying to do everything I can to minimize the fear of missing something/getting bit during inspections/due diligence.

My fear is how much we can afford vs how long this will take to complete.

That would alleviate much of your fears I’m sure.

And from most of the landlords I've spoken to, the multi share is great in markets that are super competative (like Seattle) but in smaller markets the fear is that they're making it too easy for an applicatant to apply all over the place without making any commitments.
