While I'm not familiar with any Buddhist holidays (and I don't think there is much of a Buddhist population in America), Obama has definitely honored major Hindu holidays...here is an example: http://www.washingtontimes.com/weblogs/belief-blog/2009/oct/14/president-obama-celebrates-hindu-holiday/ I'm not sure whether Obama is a Muslim, but I think it's naive on your part to argue that the 13% of Americans who think he is a Muslim must be somehow gullible.
