You want to get quality not quantity of leads.

Simple "supply/demand" economics states that any time you dump anything in mass quantities, the price goes down.

Remember you are looking for a harmonious out come.

If the contractor still has to provide a materials list, take all of the measurements, be responsible for making sure that the right materials and quantities are purchased then you should pay him and his crews for measuring, ordering and picking up.  

I'd like to build something harmonious with the what is going on, but it's a little early in the process to see how things will look.
