Do I need umbrella insurance or landlords insurance or both?

For other readers, running the LLC accordingly and separate bank accounts/ accounting, etc, plus strong property insurances, auto insurance and umbrella insurance is what you are referring to?

Also, beings this is a rental property would you go with an umbrella insurance policy?

Joe,If you do add the PM as an Additional Insured under your policy you should consider increasing the limits or adding an umbrella policy for extra coverage. 

Insurance would cover it, I would pay the deductible, and no assets would be lost.If you are in an area like San Diego where people are more likely to sue, a judge is more likely to find you guilty, and the payout is likely to be higher, then you may consider an umbrella insurance policy.

You will need a HUGE umbrella policy to cover it.

@Andy Vasquez, purchase an umbrella insurance policy for liability coverage. 

Are there other alternatives that may be better to consider like umbrella policy insurance?
