They do have some on-line learning resources as I recall, also.Personally, I am affiliated with another REI education group and I am as BIG a proponent of "learn it before you try to do it" as anyone would be in any other field of endeavor, such as plumbing, carpentry, concrete, electrical work, culinary arts, tonsorial arts, etc.Here's how -I- measure the value of paid education: if paying whatever they're asking up front keeps you from losing 2- to 5-times or more that amount due to mistakes in a deal or structuring your business entities, was it worth it to get educated and prevent costly mistakes?...

Checking with the departments one by one for each land listing that looks promising seems very inefficient.Regarding costs, i hear build costs of containers vs stick built being similar, but I had wondered if that is taking all aspects into consideration like build time, foundation and site prep requirements, etc. yes, steel cutters and welders are a special trade but the structure can arrive pre-built and potentially just sit on concrete pier foundations if the soil and zoning allows.

We plan to manage ourselves until we pay off the mortgages at retirement, but obviously things could change over the next 30 years...At this point, the exterior is looking pretty good: painting is done, new doors are installed, concrete steps are repaired, roofers are starting next week, and windows are on order (2-3 weeks out on install).
