If someone was willing to rent to you with 5 dogs and the stray and her babies are short term, they may not have a problem. 

You doing short, medium or long-term rentals there? 

I just purchased a short term rental property near the dells myself!

Rarely do you see someone with perfect credit all of a sudden have a short-term hiccup (usually due to illness or something like that).

If you have deep pockets, I think Austin will eventually reward you, but if you are a newbie in real estate looking to cash flow positive day one or shortly thereafter, Austin is probably not your best bet in TEXAS.
