My motel was down about 60 percent in 2020 and that helped but it is never fun to right that check to my partner that never did a thing.

With your engineering background maybe partnering with someone with building or other RE experience could be valuable.

I could partner with someone and probably put close to $100k down but need to factor in $10k for first year expenses into that as well.

@Danielle DeCormisKey would be to find a DSCR lender that would allow for a second and then with that loan do you still meet dscr ratioA better bet would be to bring in an equity partner

Making my first post here after seeing that there isn’t much information on Canadian real estate investing.My partner and I are looking to invest out of province on our first property, with intentions to rent it out long-term. 

I did not have much luck with traditional banks even though my partner is a GC and has done multiple additions and garages.

Has anyone heard of Mag Capital Partners based out of Texas?
