I would be worried that the whole house was done shoddily and will continue to cause you issues as time goes on.There were other things noted in the inspection report along these lines and what else is there that we don't know about is a good question to be asking.Putting the emotional aside is hard.

The AppFolio integration works great, but everything else is hit or miss, which is incredibly stressful when you’re trying to stay on top of your property finances.I’m curious if anyone else has experienced similar sync problems or if there are any recommendations for alternative platforms that might work better.

I would at least get the permit to build as many units as possible.Then, you can decide to either build, package the whole deal to sell and roll the equity into something else, or refinance and buy something else.

Making this particular bedroom bigger has three benefits: 1) bigger primary as I add ~100 sqft, 2) no need to change anything else except for face lift, 3) the garage is exactly below this bedroom and it's a single car garage, with this addition, it'll be two car tandem garage.

Being so close to the bases, you could make change it at some point from a long-term rental to short-term (for families coming into town) or mid-term (for military contract workers) and that would earn you more.For now, I would keep saving and invest in something else and leave this as it is.
