Lamy Aldophe you say your like East Cleveland and you think the area will improve but if the local people who live their on a daily basis and have a pulse of what is going on will not touch the area I doubt it is improving that much.

Some are even building HUD homes with 2x6 exterior walls, radiant barrier roof decking, a full house moisture barrier, low-e vinyl windows, extra roof/wall/floor insulation and high efficiency HVAC systems.

If you keep up with the Tahoe Daily Tribune, you'll know about what is happening as the rest of us. 

I use every chance I get to look at deals and educate myself on the daily(books,podcasts,blogs,etc.).

Then I would spend time searching for like properties on Airbnb and VRBO, looking at ADR's (average daily rates) and occupancy to validate my numbers.Mike

So for the past 2 months I've been listening to BP podcasts daily and reading blogs and forums trying to learn as much as possible (there is a lot to learn)!

My state and media reminds me of this almost daily and unfortunately they have too many scumbag slumlords to wag a judgmental finger at.I am always aware of the optics of my posts regardless of whether they can be tied back to me or not. 

The buyer of the house should expect some continued movement of the house as it ages, but can greatly reduce any future movement with proper maintenance of the property, including keeping soil conditions consistent, not allowing excess or lack of moisture.
