In the case of an audit, not only do you have to prove that you did at least 100 hours but you also need proof from your vendors that they did not do more than you.

To add to what Ken said, I once had a renter signing the lease, agreed to renter's insurance, showed me proof he paid for it, showed me the certificate of insurance, then cancelled it afterwards to get the refund.
