Things aren't looking promising and recovery will take some time.

Economic Update(Monday, August 10, 2020) The resurgence in coronavirus cases is sidetracking an economic recovery that gained steam in May and early June, slowed in July, and now indicates a rocky path ahead.

If the house needs a sump and a pump installed for the first time ever, then it's closer to reasonable, IMHO.I used Foundation Recovery Systems to install a sump pump and drains in my rental house in Independence, MO.

Anyway, if such scenario were to happen, would it warrant the 5-yr (per Eamonn) or the 7-yr (per Michael) recovery period for depreciation?

I look forward to seeing people break away from their 9-5 (or in my case, recovery from a major surgery) for the first time, and I want to join those ranks before the end of this year with my first investment.  

When we talk about a full recovery, we don’t simply mean getting real GDP back where it was in late 2019; a full recovery comes when the unemployment rate gets back below 4%, and I really don’t see that happening until at least 2023.

Condo's have experience a steep drop in the past few months and there will be a lengthy recovery period since buyers are unsure if/when HOA amenities will be open again.
