I want to invest with a 10-yr horizon in mind, understanding holding an asset that appreciates, while someone else pays down your mortgage, but that is if you at least break even!

Always keep in mind the alternative, the bank has no duty to sell for less than what the open market will bare for the asset.

@Kyle LumanKeep in mind everyone's situation is different and while one investor in the short term is wanting less cash flow for tax reasons (presumably) your situation it might not make sense to break even or lose money.

Gox online filing system will be able to check the results by logging into the system.

I have corporate bookkeeping experience and can see all the money coming in online but there is no one there I can speak with about our account.
