I have had a set amount in my head, but it is harder than anticipated.

Should I be worried and postpone the purchase several months to a year, or will it likely have less impact than I'm anticipating?

I funded the purchase on my own (with help from the bank) and will be pulling in private capital to help with the $400k in anticipated renovation costs. 

Reading this though, you will be living in the same house so my thought is are you anticipating unruly roommates which you could screen against, or are you playing it safe by anticipating what could happen?

With Bill Gates "smart city" there is anticipation of job growth, population, etc.

I'd be willing to bet they coded in an override or factory reset into the control panel anticipating codes would be forgotten or it becomes locked.
