The other 1 time, when you drill holes for a curtain rod, you find an old nail or drywall anchor you didn't know was there, and either make a big hole, or have to move the thing over 1/2" and redrill. 

I also have a box full of different size screws, nails, washers, anchors.

They get defensive, but they really have little reason to defend themselves.As someone said, it comes across as a lie, wrapped in deception, anchored in misrepresentation.

I found that exceptionally cashflowing areas had specific sociological and psychological "anchors" to them that would compel people to stay there regardless of where the economy was at.

So I start with 2 anchor buildings and set the closing for 6 weeks out, then that gives me 2-3 weeks to find the rest.  

Too often their perceived value is anchored in outdated or unfounded information, or mere emotion. 

I agree with comfortable bed, sheets, pillows, big screen TV with anchored down sound bar, Keurig coffee with Peets coffee pods, provide a book with local restaurants, tours, things to do etc.  

Google has stated they will penalize PBNs if they can spot them (see https://searchengineland.com/private-blog-networks-great-way-get-site-penalized-286489)Google also loves to see diversified anchor texts.

While I didn't expect to qualify for $75k I requested (anchor the negotiation to a big number....right?)

That thing is a boat anchor (a pretty one, but an anchor no less).
