Consider replacing central air at the same time if you have it.

Hello BiggerPockets Community,I'm embarking on an exciting journey to acquire and renovate a duplex from 1900, aiming to tackle the inherent challenges of outdated insulation and the lack of modern vapor and air barriers.

When I went into the Air Force and was stationed in Idaho I started a painting company and had 8 painters working for me while I was a plumber in the Air Force.

Because our area is super expensive to cash flow from buy and hold I see many investors doing flips and mid term rentals as well like air bnb or leases under 1 year.

My thought would be to put on legal pressure with the town and social pressure with the neighbors. 

Homes of this age may not have had materials like pressure treated lumber to deter some of the pests and they can weaken structural members over time.

No outside wall, just the open air!
