In other words, if it were a financial strain where I could *just* afford to enrol in a seminar, but my credit cards would be maxed out or I tapped into an equity line of credit, would this have been an advisable course of action?

Do you have a good enrolled agent/cpa/tax guy that you could ask about this?

This prop is up in the air because colleges are in an unknown space with much lower enrollment.

@Robert Godfrey - It's sometimes difficult to find a CPA who both specializes in real estate and is located close to you in Maryland.There are lots of good CPAs and Enrolled Agents on Bigger Pockets who work remotely and have clients all over the country.

Benedictine is close as is Wheaton, Aurora, Elmhurst etc.All have pretty decent enrollment and most likely have visiting professors and experts.
