The US holds the most gold (not only our own, but others which we can easily confiscate), and that is one of the reasons the U.S. remains the worlds reserve currency, and safe haven of choice.To the degree that you hold gold as an insurance policy, it should be your sincere hope that it never increases dramatically in value.

Throughout the call, my only impression of Brian was that of sincerity and knowledge, he had recommendations out the Wazoo and a honest to god want for you to grasp what he was talking about so that you could grow from the conversation you were immersed in.

Hard to call it an investment even by definition, since real property is allusive, ignore the word deed... any way not going down that road.Here is what is interesting.$1800 per year HOA (maintenance fees really)$8k-15k for 2 weeks worth of rentals annually  = insane profit assuming you can fill the unit(s)Like I said never really looked before but, seems like there might be money to be made.

Within a few years, your cash flow locally will easily trump what you're getting out of state as well since rents are mostly STATIC in turnkey markets.Unless you can work the grounds out there like a TRUE local, you will be paying a premium every step of the way (acquisition, rehab, PM, etc)...I guess what I'm saying is don't take for granted what you've got going for you in your own backyard.
