Are delinquent taxes this high super abnormal or should I not be as shocked?

Some people will get shocked by it and let it negatively affect their understanding of rest of your post.You clearly said : "Yes. of course I believe in compromise and treating the tenant with a great deal of respect, they are helping you pay for the house after all.

That's why I was so shocked.

Originally from Texas (which gets an embarrassingly bad rap), I reel from sticker shock about prices here because in my head SFRs cost 80-150k and for that amount in San Jose, SF, or Oakland I couldn't even afford a nice double wide (ha!).  

I was shocked because I would never live in anything like that muchless my family!

That would be a big shock to the current tenant and a reason to move.

Long story short, both had wiring issues and when I unplugged and moved the dryer I was shocked that we hadn't had a fire.

She acted shocked and told me that they haven't even started looking.

@Jay Hinrichs , I believe that those areas will get a major shock, because undocumented buy a lot of things and are part of the local economy.

If an investor does not understand that and find it shocking that he pays above market, that is his problem....That said, I wish someone start a thread for burned out OOS investors to post and sell their properties on BP
