A 45-year-old salesman with a new F-150 or the 18-year-old that rides a bike to work?

My cabin is located in Oxford County close to ski/ snowboard mountains, Fryeburg fair, short ride to North Conway, snow mobile trails on property and countless outdoors activities.

I ride bicycles, I travel, I invest, I deal with crazy tenants (Yes that makes me happy!)

I think I may ride the ship for a couple of more years to gain the equity and get the 70% LTV cash out to accomplish the goals above. 

Oh, but the 6K will be on a 2 year balloon.My other option is to let this ride out and by December they take the house anyway and I get nothing.the final option he offered is that someone said they will take my 39k loan over and give me 2K to walk away.

This is because you’re hyper-aware about all of the bells and whistles that come in a more expensive ride during that initial drive.

I think there were plenty of 10 to 12% cash on cash deals in our area especially those with older landlords who like to keep good tenants at low Market rates if you can find those put a little money into the property and raise the rates by 10 to 15% you're making pretty nice profit and again this is real estate as part of your portfolio it's going to appreciate it's certainly not going to be... in our area anyway ..a roller coaster ride like the stock market. you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket everyone knows that but as an investment that won't take up too much of your time I think it's a good start the brrrr are good but not for everybody especially if you have a full-time job and you buy locally in our high tax area.

@Ryan Sargent We have 4 vacation rentals thats located approx. 1,000 ft from the beach but you still have to cross a low traffic 4 lane road (2 lanes each way) so it takes 5-6 minutes to walk. 2-3 minutes for a bike ride which we do provide as well to make the trip easier for some.

(I've heard many a loan officer be taken for a ride this way).
