I didn't ask about morality and you do not know my situation to make that judgement.

So, moral of the story, do your market research, find the sweet spot for rent, and work from that as your starting point for deciding if a target property is worth pursuing.

Is a terrible precedent and morally wrong.

Moral of the story - be extra prepared.

The real moral of this story is that On the Job Training is not a good choice when it comes to rentals.

This was with Freddie Mac itself, but from all appearances, Freddie Mac is no longer willing to sell properties to us in one of our DBA's because we ended up contacting not just the supervisors and upper management, but also our federal representatives.That is a long story, but suffice it to say, we were not able to purchase that property and ever since, that DBA has not been able to purchase a Freddie backed property.Other times, we have escalated and that has produced results.The moral is always work at the lowest level until all of those resources have been exhausted.

When you come across people who have been in this predicament, they are sometimes more responsive - since selling is one of the few real ways to stop their "unstopable foreclosure" (that was the guru term for this).

I have learned a good amount and hope never to be put in this predicament.

So the moral of the story might be...Deals do not have to make sense to make dollars.
