I also understand the concern about raising "rent" on 200 tenants which the low income folks and homeless advocates are concerned with, but I want to understand this more from a business perspective.As an investor, if I were to buy a "Motel", I would have to insure the building on the basis that these are short-term rentals.  

The purpose is to prevent suicide and homelessness through shared housing.

Condemned buildings, tear downs, homeless, empty lots.

Also, most of these tenants come from homeless shelters.

@Jessica Zolotorofe Son has some type of mental/brain issue and have been living like a homeless person, running from anything that resembled normal.

This was different showing agents...wth...we have a large homeless population... don't want them in there or kids trashing the place or someone stealing what they can to sell at the flea market...is this common...it would not do any good to have the electronic locks that tell you who entered and when...I know who the agents were and they should know better...is this common...are agents so forgetful or uncaring they just routinely go off and leave property unsecured ? 

If I did whatever my parents thought was good for me I'd be homeless and broke.

And they don't mind the homeless sleeping not far from the building entrance. 

There are a number of homeless wandering around in that area but with sensible security precautions they haven't been a problem for my tenants.
