You don't have the authority or justification to start spreading rumors about a Service Member that could affect their job, or even their security clearance. 

This is not something I have encountered before, and I am very curious what the justification is for making you pay the seller or broker for due diligence.  

And Chris you have been right on based on my limited  experience and there is very ample justification to hire a management firm even for one apartment or house has really been my experience for about 21 years now...

Here's another thought though in terms of justifications with IRS for selling vs. holding within a short term window.
