We have a rural multi & pay a guy $350/yr to maintain the boxes around the building, eliminate all the wasps nests that appear every year, take care of any tenant bug complaints & it's been an effective strategy for 3-4 years.

The plan is to put in a Nest, or similar, thermostat in the whole way (under a lock and key) so to be able to control the temperature from wherever. 

We save somewhere around 40-50% of our income so in theory, we will only need at most half of what we make now in retirement assuming we have a good nest egg.  

As always, keep you credit clean and live below your means, so that you HAVE a nest egg.

Live at home for a couple years to get that nest egg (and salary) built up.

If your plans were to have this grow into your retirement nest egg and it’s moving in the right direction, why change courses?

I have a strong internet connection and am thinking of placing a nest sensor in the coldest area of each unit to help me get a sense of the temperature of each apartment.
