Additionally with the structure being as tall as what you are constructing, the walls have to be built stronger than a standard two story construction would be, and that weight has to be transferred to a very solid foundation that costs more money to build.

The cheap homes look good on paper, but cost a lot more as they often attract less desirable/more problematic tenants.

Experiences like this are even more reasons why you do not want to work with Bank of America in any capacity, unless you strongly desire distractions, inefficiencies, headaches and heartache.  

Now McDonald's arguably did it better than anyone else due to having that perfect combination of factors (e.g. franchise model, desirable product, global economic growth, etc.).

The property obviously cash-flowed although not as desired. 

You cannot carry the weight of your residents' issues on your shoulders.

You had one desired outcome that was outside of the parameters of what we were able to make a reality.

I agree with @Mike R.from Phoenix, AZ for the most part, but know that Tucson is known by locals to be a less desirable, higher crime city than the greater Phoenix metro area - that is why it is less expensive.
