Can an agent re-list property even if we have contract extension?

My thought process is I want to buy Multi family homes that are in disrepair and need extensive work. 

If deed and possession are not delivered to Buyer by Closing Date, this purchase agreement will be null and void, unless an extension is agreed upon in writing and signed by all parties.

It's tax law, so there are numerous exceptions, restrictions, and extensions on that "section 121 exclusion", but that's the general concept.)Since the property was gifted to you, you have the the gifter's basis in the property.

Your employer also probably has an extensive list of contractors they use for certain jobs. 

This requires either a good property manager or extensive abilities/knowledge of construction.

Thus the functionality of following your chosen individuals and making extensive use of setting up keyword alerts with words or terms such as course, workshop, event, coaching, mentorship, analysis tools, multifamily real estate syndicator and the like.
