Depends on their skills and capacity.

However, a good team can make OOS investing worthwhile, and it's been proven.There is only one question left, are you a hand's on investor willing to add sweat equity, or are you a hand's off investor who wants to leverage money to buy labor and skills to achieve your goal?

They may give you access to homes, they force you to drive neighborhoods, they could force you to learn a skill that will be valuable to real estate.

Investing with a syndicator, ESPECIALLY anyone doing any form of outbound marketing or with a big social media presence, should be done only be experts who are skilled in evaluating sponsors (dozens or hundreds of due diligence repetitions and hundreds of hours of self study.If that doesn’t fit the bill start studying.

Any general contractors, carpenters, handymen that cover a wide range of skills? 

And where is this hard working skilled workforce you speak of ?   

Initially, we began by working with builders as a small crew of hands-on guys doing the work ourselves, but as we grew, we realized that builders faced various problems such as poor workmanship, communication issues due to language barriers, laziness of workers, and high turnover of “skilled” labor.

I am definitely grateful for the accounting experience I am getting but am just considering some other possibilities where I can get some more valuable skills/ exposure to real estate in my day job that will benefit me in real estate investing.  

Those folks need to work on their underwriting skills. 

I tried to join a team, and it helped me sharpen my skills a lot.
