The DBPR has rejected my experience submissions 6 times, dating back to April, citing that the certification of license history that I submitted was insufficient (although it came from Maine's RE Commission). 

Check with your city/county etc for need of rental registration/certificate of occupancy and be sure to get one if needed.2 or 3.

Letting tenants "self certify" is no better than letting a landlord evict using "self certification".

With alot of time that I have now, I was thinking in getting my certification to become a RE agent. is it worth it?

Each state has their own laws so make sure you follow yours and get your certificate of occupancy.

Insurance quotes I have received from the big companies are outrageous and they require a roof that is not more than 10 years old or they don't want to insure (although inspection and certification is required).
