I would recommend you have an honest conversation with the first partner and remind him that you had always talked about other partners involved in the deal.

I think that's the right mindset that their are plenty of deals out there, I'll just need to remind myself of this often.

@Dave Lawrence - I feel like I had talked to penfed back in 2015 and from what remember they dont do HELOCs on a rental condo which is what I have in SF so thats why I couldnt go with them but I could be wrongThanks for the reminder on penfed.
