Banks and HUD are such a pain to deal with and not many owners are looking to sell right now in Chicago and Northwest Indiana.

I feel your pain. 

It can be a bit of a pain, but I found this is just the best process.I have used Simplisafe, but the challenge is the project has to be far enough along to have power and internet so you have a stable conditions for the alarm system.

It's probably just psychology @Jay Helms, but knowing friends/family in a different context other than investing/business is difficult for me because of that relationship where money and investing isn't talked about as much.

The primary advantage for most is the psychological security that comes with believing it will better protect your assets.

Also if a potential tenant is a pain now, they will only get worse the longer you go. 

All it takes is a wild hair and you are dealing with nothing but pain and misery.

Psychologically they will likely not want to sign it unless they REALLY want to keep staying. 

Louis, and while it was a pain to get the checks switched to us, the tenant for the most part is pretty good.
