I agree with you that it would be best to have both the company on the lease in addition to the tenant, we're just having a difficult time figuring out how to do that because of the language on our lease- It just used the word "tenant", so we're not sure how to clarify one party is financially responsible, while the other party will actually be residing there (tenant)-

If she's lived there just one year and the lease has no language that it will renew/turn into a month to month rental agreement after the initial term/ETC. you are fine with a 30 day notice.

In many instances like this one - by the time it gets investigated damage is already done I love these articles not for the fact investors are getting abused.. but the statements about lavish lifestyle fancy dinners etc etc.. every single white collar litigation or criminal complaint has that exact same language.. and now you know why the Mafia guys just lived in some plain Jane home and maybe drove a caddy and ate at a low end restaurant LOL.
