I already have a plumber on the way to check my unit and fix the leak however the downstairs unit owner is saying that I am liable for all the damages to his unit, there are some cracks in his roof and stains on the roof that look like they are from water.

Maybe put a pick-nick table back there to re-enforce the idea, along with a Craig's list used charcoal grill.I'd also have the fence shot with a redwood stain to freshen it up.I'd pick pavers that match the house and the class of the neighborhood.
