One of the things you want to watch out for is that you don't run out of cash money on hand to throw at problems while you own it.

I'd recommend you watch it. 

I've watched quite a few podcasts so far (not all mind you), and so far I've not seen any word of caution about what is considered too much debt.

The first 5 times will be painful and frustrating - watch one of Brandon's or David G's videos on how to run the numbers - you'll become quick after a few dry runs.Just make sure you underwrite the deals against your Goals (ROI %, Cashflow $, potential longterm appreciation, etc), and run the numbers as if you're NOT in the property. 

My credit score does have a roller coaster look but I only worry about it when I am looking to really finance something for my personal life. 

That is why they all say it's Entertainment, it's to get people to watch, that's it.
