The choice depends on individual financial goals and 5-10-year goals.

I prefer properties that are heavily focused on the residential component  because mix-use assets receive far less attention than multi-family assets.

I joined BiggerPockets to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from experienced members, and contribute to discussions where I can add value.

However, in the long run, I love the "buy a house a year" strategy (as a primary, for preferred financing) and just keep moving (pending that your spouse is on board with this of course, if you have one).

I can see things moving forward in two ways: 1) These individuals and entities will work with us to return monies owed back to the Company or 2) we will need to go to litigation.

I’m eager to connect with individuals who are experienced in real estate investing so I can grow and develop on this new path.

Personally I'd prefer a single family over a condo just because of the control aspect and HOA nuisance. 

It wasn’t a detailed plumbing drawing- he had shown one line going to all units while the contractor pointed out that it is better to show individual lines to each unit as repairs and maintenance are easier. and some towns even require it . 

Prefer to cashflow as close to day #1 as possible.No problem!

You learn the most about being an agent in the field and by choosing a good first brokerage with good training either in-person or online, depending on your preference.
