My last 11 years was in the oilfield, staying in hotels all the time.

With nothing else to do at the hotel, I plowed through several of the books and am now motivated to fix what ails my financial life.I started building homes in 2001, and did that full-time until the market here crashed in 2008.

I have worked in hotels most my life with my family owning hotels.

I am staying at the hotel Chicago.Would be great to meet up with some other investors in the Chicagoland area who might want to get together for a beer at some point this week.

My long term goal for real estate is to get into business with the most luxurious real estate such as multi million dollar homes, 5 star hotels, casinos, resorts etc.

Robert the last time one was done the economy was down so you could get space for cheap to do an event.These days everyone ( hotels, convention centers) charges a mint to put something on of that scale.

Cannot tell you how many people I've had come back and try to get their stuff covered, or have me pay for a hotel due to a problem.Make sure that the lease is a 12 month lease for the full annual sum (i.e. $9,600) to be paid in 12 monthly payments of $800, rather than saying the lease is for $800 per month.

The conference looks like it has a good amount of value, but with the Paper Source conference in April, and the Note Expo conference in November, it's difficult to justify the cost of travel, hotel, food and the conference for yet another event in our note investing niche.
