Hey @Chris_Winterhalter (mentions still not working here), thanks for your assistance.Well, the theme has only yesterday been decided, so the project has become even more time sensitive.I mean something like an overgrown high-end cabana with a terrace, drinks and snacks (can't disclose the exact location) where a major source of revenue is renting out the benches at an exclusive part of the beach.The building can stand there for half the year, but has to be deconstructed in October and reconstructed in March.We can use the current building for this year, but it won't structurally last the reconstruction for long.By the way, have there been any puns on your last name this past season?

I was thinking of one relating to the food and snack industry.

The other times they wander.Once you think they are ALLout eating the tasty Purina, put chicken wire over the main entry hole, but get down on your hands and kneesand LOOK under there for straglers or kittens.

We have a kitchen for cheap snacks, room for everyone to spread out, etc.

I had lunch or a snack or coffee etc. 

In many cases, they could be snacks and soft drinks.

Essentially, feed them a tasty bribe, and they will be too busy munching to talk ...

I've never been to a REI meetup before, but have been to software developer meetups and the pace is usually, have a few snacks and then someone talks for 20-30 minutes about some stuff they are working on, and then general networking for about 30 - 40 minutes.  

When you make the slices really small, it is not investing as much as a decision to pick up a snack when you are checking out at the gas station.
